A team led by scientists from Stanford University in the United States of America (USA) and including scientists from the Netherlands determined the “World Top 2% Scientists List” researchers who entered the 2 percentile in the world in 2023 in the success ranking made by using the composite indicator scientific impact index consisting of variables such as number of citations, h index, hm index, self-citation rate.

In the list of 1395 scientists from Turkey, 15 academicians working at Bursa Uludag University (BUU) were entitled to enter the list. Two academicians from the Department of Civil Engineering were eligible to enter this list. 1395 scientists from Turkey were included in the “World Top 2% Scientists List”, which includes 210198 scientists whose work was analyzed only in 2023. 15 faculty members from BUU also found a place in the list. BUU academics who took part in the ranking are as follows;

In the ranking of the research, which was created by taking into account the work of scientists throughout their entire academic careers, 1040 faculty members from Turkey and 11 faculty members from Bursa Uludağ University were included in the list among a total of 204643 scientists. Again, 2 academicians from our department were entitled to enter this ranking.
