Prof. İsmail M. GÖĞÜŞ
He was born in 1954 and completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in his hometown of Gaziantep. In 1977, he graduated from the Music Department of Gazi Education Institute and began working as a music teacher at Dikili High School. In 1978, he passed the assistantship exam of his alma mater and started as an assistant in Voice Training. He completed his undergraduate studies at Ankara University's Faculty of Educational Sciences in 1982 and earned his master’s degree in Curriculum Development in Education at the same institution in 1985. In 1994, he completed his Proficiency in Art program at Istanbul Technical University’s Institute of Social Sciences (Turkish Music State Conservatory).
Between 1991 and 1993, he worked at Marmara University. Additionally, between 1991 and 1997, he directed the Ali Cengiz Çelenk Children's Choir in Bursa, bringing this work to various festivals and educational TV programs.
After starting at Uludağ University’s Faculty of Education in 1993, he contributed significantly to many music-related events in Bursa. He was one of the initiators behind the establishment of the Bursa State Symphony Orchestra, Bursa Philharmonic Association, and Bursa Uludağ University State Conservatory and played vital roles in their founding processes. In June 1998, he was appointed as the founding director of the State Conservatory.
GÖĞÜŞ participated in a short-term educational program at Arizona State University and earned the title of Associate Professor in 2000. His articles have been published in journals focused on education and music, and he has presented papers at various national and international conferences. GÖĞÜŞ has given lectures and concerts on voice training in various organizations and published works such as "Canım Annem" and "Anadolu Sevdası," piano-accompanied children's songs, "Seventeen and Eighteen Italian Songs and Arias," and "The Care, Preservation, and Training of the Voice." Among his other works, his song for children's choir and orchestra titled "El Ele 23 Nisan’a" (Hand in Hand to April 23rd) was performed by the Bursa State Symphony Orchestra in 2008, featuring children’s choirs. His vocal-piano piece titled "Anadolu," published in 2008, premiered at Ankara University State Conservatory.
GÖĞÜŞ served as the director of Bursa Uludağ University State Conservatory from its founding in June 1998 until June 2019, retiring due to age limit in 2021 after a 44-year career.
 
 
Prof. Gülay GÖĞÜŞ
She was born in 1956 in Bilecik. After completing his primary and middle school education in Osmaneli, she graduated from Bilecik Elementary Teacher Training School in 1974. The same year, she began his studies in the Music Department of Gazi Education Institute (GEE), graduating in 1977 and starting his position as a music teacher at Bergama High School. In 1978, he passed the assistantship exam at his alma mater (GEE Music Department) and started as an assistant in Music Theory and Solfège.
In 1982, she completed his undergraduate education at Ankara University’s Faculty of Educational Sciences and earned a master's degree in Curriculum Development in Education at the same institution in 1985. In 1996, she completed his Proficiency in Art program at Istanbul Technical University’s Institute of Social Sciences (Turkish Music State Conservatory).
In 1993, she began working as an Instructor at Uludağ University’s Faculty of Education. She contributed to the founding of the Bursa Philharmonic Association and participated in efforts to establish a Symphony Orchestra and State Conservatory in Bursa. In 1997, she completed a short-term educational program at Arizona State University’s School of Music and was promoted to Assistant Professor the same year, achieving the title of Associate Professor in 2000. In addition to presenting papers at various conferences, she published articles in education and music journals and authored two books: "Music Teaching and Methods" and "Musical Dictation Studies." Prof. G. GÖĞÜŞ retired in 2023, after 24 years as a faculty member at Bursa Uludağ University State Conservatory, including the last 17 years as Assistant Director, concluding a 47-year career.
 
 
Prof. Koral ÇALGAN
Koral Çalgan began his music education with his father, Turgut Çalgan, a violist with the Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO). He graduated from Ankara State Conservatory in 1962 and started as a violist in the CSO that same year.
In 1965, he went to Germany, where he studied at the Cologne State University of Music under the renowned violist Prof. Ernst Nippes. During the Weikersheim Music Festival, he won the "Chamber Music Award" and worked as a violist with the Rheinische Kammerorchester.
Upon returning to Turkey, he served for many years as the Principal Violist in the CSO. He premiered many viola concertos in Turkey and gave the world premiere of Necil Kazım Akses' Viola Concerto, which was composed for him.
He also served as a violist in the TRT Ankara Chamber Orchestra and as Deputy General Director of Fine Arts at the Ministry of Culture. Çalgan wrote regular music articles for Cumhuriyet Newspaper for three years. In addition to his articles, he published books titled "Perceptions," "Ulvi Cemal Erkin," "Music Anecdotes," "Liszt's Concerts in Istanbul," and "A Tribute to Ulvi Cemal Erkin."
Since 1985, Prof. Koral Çalgan has been recognized as a conductor for his concerts and contributions to the establishment of youth and children’s orchestras to promote classical music. In 1997, he was honored by Italy’s Foyer des Artistes for his contributions to culture and the arts.
During the founding of Bursa Uludağ University State Conservatory in 1998, he served as a consultant and was appointed as a full-time faculty member in 2001. In addition to his role as a violist and conductor of the Youth Symphony Orchestra at the conservatory, Prof. Çalgan continued his artistic work, celebrating his 45th year in the arts with the Youth Symphony Orchestra's "Spring Concert" on April 10, 2007, before retiring.
 
 
Aygül ÇETİK
She was born in Bursa in 1971. After graduating from Bursa Anatolian High School in 1989, she completed his education in the Department of English Language Teaching at Boğaziçi University’s Faculty of Education in 1994. Between 1994 and 1997, she worked as a teacher in institutions under the Ministry of National Education, and from 1997 to 2000, she served as an Instructor in the Preparatory School of Istanbul Technical University’s School of Foreign Languages. In 2000, she was appointed as an Instructor at Bursa Uludağ University State Conservatory, from which she retired in 2021.
