Dietitian, growth, development and lifelong protection and improvement of the health of all individuals, regulating the plans and programs of individual and collective nutrition in line with the principles of nutrition science in order to increase the quality of life; researching, evaluating and finding solutions to health problems arising from nutrients, food and nutrition; It is a health profession field that ensures the use of existing food resources in accordance with the rules of economy and health, controls food, informs and raises awareness of the individual and society in order to adopt physiologically, psychologically and sociologically healthy lifestyles in these matters, plans diet programs according to the composition of natural and therapeutic nutrients suitable for medical and surgical treatments in congenital and acquired diseases and other special cases, provides training, plans, implements and monitors training programs.
Dietitians who graduate from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics have the opportunity to work in many areas such as treatment institutions (private and public hospitals, polyclinics, health centers, enteral-parenteral team, dialysis units, etc.), mass nutrition systems (food factories, hotel food and beverage departments, all private and public institutions where mass nutrition is made, kindergartens, schools, etc.), public health service institutions (maternal and child health centers, family health centers, child and elderly nursing homes, sports schools, etc.), food industry, research institutions and educational institutions. ), institutions providing public health services (maternal and child health centers, family health centers, child and elderly care centers, sports schools, etc.), food industry, research institutions and educational institutions.
