Within the scope of the "Schuman Traineeship Program" in the European Parliament (EP), there are paid internship opportunities in October-February and March-July.

• Internship applications for the October-February 2024 period started on May 1, and the deadline is May 31 (until 23.59 local time).
• Applications for the March-July period are received between 1-31 October.

In AP, There are two types of paid internship formats: "Schuman Traineeship" at General Directorates and "internships with AP members". The internship program in question is 

• over 18 years of age,
• Citizen of an EU member or candidate/enlargement country,
• have a bachelor's degree,
• Having a very good command of at least one EU official language (candidates who are not citizens of a member country must have a good command of English, French, and German),
• having no criminal record,
• It is open to candidates who have not worked or completed internships in EU institutions, structures, or agencies.

It is seen that an online application can be made to the "Europe unit: Enlargement, Western Europe and Northern Cooperation - Post A: primary focus on Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey" program within this scope. The intern accepted to the said program will intern for 5 months at the General Directorate of Foreign Policies (DG EXPO - Directorate-General for External Policies of the Union) in the EP's building in Brussels, especially in Turkey and Bosnia-Herzegovina. EXPO will undertake duties such as monitoring the bilateral relations of the EU and the EP with the countries in its field of duty, making reports, and participating in meetings.
