TÜBİTAK SUPPORT TO BUÜ ACADEMICIAN'S ZERO WASTEWATER PROJECTS

Bursa Uludag University (BUU) Engineering Faculty Environmental Engineering Department faculty member Prof. Dr. TÜBİTAK-TEYDEB support came to two projects developed by Taner Yonar.

BUU Environmental Engineering Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Taner Yonar continues to carry out important studies in his company called Envora R&D Engineering, which he founded in 2020 in ULUTEK Technology Zone. Prof. Dr. Taner Yonar is entitled to be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK-TEYDEB 1507 SME R&D Initial Support Program with his 2 projects named 'Development of Domestic and National Ultrasonic Doppler Flowmeter System that Can Be Used in Wastewaters' and 'Development of a Chemical Treatment System in which Magnetite is Used as a Coagulant-Flocculant with a Zero Waste Approach'. Pointing out that the projects will have a detailed working period of 1.5 years on average, Prof. Dr. Taner Yonar added; “When the projects are realized, new job opportunities will be created, imports from abroad will decrease, and our national and international competitiveness will increase. At the same time, it will make a significant contribution to the Turkish economy by preventing the country's foreign currency from going abroad.”

Pointing out that the project entitled "Development of Domestic and National Ultrasonic Doppler Flowmeter System That Can Be Used in Wastewaters" is the first in Turkey, Prof. Dr. Yonar said; “We have succeeded in producing the Ultrasonic Doppler Flowmeter System, which is not yet produced in our country and can be used in sewage, water and wastewater treatment plants and all flow types and sections open to the atmosphere. We believe that we will make a serious contribution to the development of flowmeter technology in Turkey with the development of the ultrasonic doppler flowmeter system.
